Understanding the records behind TTLottoStats Win For Life research

This guide explains the Win For Life model used by TTLottoStats, how the six main numbers differ from the Cash Ball, and which stored records are usable for historical research.

The main-number model

Each draw contains six unique main numbers from 1 through 28. Main-number order is not analytically significant. For example, 1 2 3 4 5 6 and 6 5 4 3 2 1 represent the same six-number main combination after normalization.

The separate Cash Ball

The Cash Ball is one separate value from 1 through 3. It is stored, displayed and analyzed separately from the six main numbers. It is not a seventh main number.

The Cash Ball may numerically equal one of the main numbers. In the current snapshot, 103 of 465 draws contain a Cash Ball whose value also appears among the six mains. The current implementation assigns no special analytical meaning to that equality.

Theoretical spaces

The six-number main pool contains C(28,6) = 376,740 unique combinations. There are 3 Cash Ball values. A complete main combination plus Cash Ball therefore has 376,740 × 3 = 1,130,220 possible outcomes.

Current database snapshot

The verified snapshot reported 465 draws, contained 465 raw stored rows and provided 465 valid records. It was marked updated on 2026-09-18.

The oldest usable draw was #1 — 2022-03-15 — 4 8 10 21 24 27 + Cash Ball 2. The latest usable draw was #465 — 2026-09-18 — 5 7 10 14 17 24 + Cash Ball 2. These snapshot values will change as the database updates.

Current data quality

No records were excluded in this snapshot. No malformed records, identified placeholders, repeated-main rows, out-of-range rows, duplicate draw numbers or missing Cash Ball values were found. All current stored main-number rows are sorted.

Validation

A usable record requires a positive integer-like draw number, a date matching the YYYY-MM-DD pattern, exactly six integer-like main values from 1–28, six unique main values, a present Cash Ball from 1–3 and a draw number not already used by another accepted record.

The date check is format-based. The implementation does not independently prove that every formatted date is a valid calendar date.

Optional metadata

The API preserves optional jackpot and wins fields. They are present on 458 records and absent on 7 records in the current snapshot. Public WFL research calculations do not use these fields, so they are not a payout, ROI or expected-return model.

Scheduling and historical limitations

Updater configuration contains Tuesday/Friday scheduling metadata and a 20:30 draw time. That is implementation configuration, not authoritative historical game documentation. The current project does not establish an authoritative historical rule-transition timeline.
